Stalking
Bighouse Estate has access to 60,000 acres of stunning wild Sutherland landscape bordering on to the Flow Country. The wide rolling plains and hills make stalking an exciting challenge for both the experienced and inexperienced stalker.
Stalking normally takes place from August to October and Hind Stalking from November to February. The Estate also provides Roe stalking in the numerous forrested areas.
Shooting
The Estate has a very successful partridge shoot where birds are driven across deep gullys and ravines in spectacular settings close to the river Halladale, Walked up Grouse over dogs is also available at Bighouse and at neighbouring estates. Falconers are also welcome.
There is also excellent rough shooting for Woodcock, Snipe and Wild Pheasant. Opportunities exist for very exciting wildfowling
