Just two and a half hours by road from Inverness Airport, Bighouse Lodge is half a mile off the A836 northern highland coastal route.
It is also possible to travel north from Inverness by Train or Coach.

BY CAR
From Inverness take the A9 signposted Wick.
Follow the A9 over the Black Isle past Tain, Dornoch, Golspie, Brora and, after approximately 1 ½ hours, arrive at Helmsdale.
At Helmsdale, take the A897 North, Signposted Melvich. This is single track road with passing places.
Go through Kinbraice, Forsinard. After approximately 1 hour, you will arrive at a T-junction with the A836, which is the North Coast Road. Turn right towards Thurso.
After ½ mile turn left on lane, over bridge signposted Bighouse Lodge.
Follow the lane down to the river and the Lodge.
Both taxis and hire cars are available from Inverness.
BY AIR
Fly to Inverness - flights from London take less than 2 hours. You can also fly to Wick.
Wick Airport to Bighouse Lodge is about 50 minutes drive time. Transfers to and from the airports can also be arranged by helicopter.
BY TRAIN
You can also catch a train from Inverness to Forsinard. Full journey time 3 hours through spectacular coastal and inland scenery.
Forsinard is only 20 minutes drive from the Bighouse Lodge.
